Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

Fish tank blues

Okay, this particular morning we were rushing to get out of the house. It was about 8:30, I had the girls all ready and dressed, coats were on--I sat them down in front of the TV with a cartoon so that they wouldn't' get into anything and I ran upstairs quickly to get myself ready. This is what I found when I came back down. H&N had the entire hood off and it was full of instruments and misc toys--when I say full, I mean full. If you got a view from the top you would be amazed. There was also a baby doll and a few other large items that I needed to remove right away for those poor fish. How can they do that so fast? Of course I was frustrated because they were soaking wet and we were ready to leave but then again that night I reminded myself that I PRAYED FOR THIS. When they were little babies in the NICU I just wanted them to be normal and to get into things and to cry and fight, I didn't want them to end up with all the possible problems that 29 weekers' have and boy did God answer my prayer, so thank you God for two curious little girls that are SO healthy!

Oh my! They are busy little girls, aren't they!? If we had fish, I could totally see Lily and Leah doing something like that! It's amazing what kids can find to make messes with, and always right before you have to go somewhere, or do something important. UGH. I also found your comment about thanking God for helping your little girls to be normal very interesting. It sounds like something I'd say, actually! Although, I must admit, many times I am thankful that Lily doesn't get around quite as quickly as Leah does (due to her medical issues...she spent 6 months in the NICU) or I'd really be in for it! They are definitely partners in crime (with big sister egging them on)!

BTW, I also wanted to thank you for mentioning FIAR. We ordered it for the girls, and I'm excited to start this week (if I can get myself together)! Cranberry Thanksgiving is our first book.

That is great you are doing FIAR! You will have so much fun, we have been having a blast. Keep me posted on how things go and what kind of activities you decide to do--if we are on different books I would love any ideas you may come up with and feel free to take anything you may see that we do.
