Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

Bday party prep

Hannah requested a white cake with white frosting
Nora requested a pink cake with pink frosting
they had pink cookies
They are getting ready to go out for dinner with daddy while Emma and I got ready for their bday party. Now, I have worked hard over the years to make sure that they feel they are individuals and that I don't dress them the same, etc....but no matter how hard I have tried to do that they want to be the same. So, I am officially letting it go...they picked out their coats above and wanted the same, and the same shoes, they put on the same color clothes, etc...now I just need to learn a different way to tell them apart because as much as they want to dress the same they hate to be called the wrong name.

Looks like so much fun! We're planning Elise's b-day (6th) on Saturday, so we've been totally immersed in b-day stuff too. I actually need to bake Elise's cake today, so I can get it all decorated for her (she's getting a giant cupcake, which will require some...shaping).

You're a very good mom to bake 2 cakes for them! I think it might come down to that for me at some point also, but for now, I've been telling them just one cake. Lily wants a puppy cake this year, so that's what I'm going to make them. I haven't really done a 3-D sculpted cake before, so that could get interesting. Last year I made a "Lumpy" (heffalump) cake because that's what Leah requested, so I figured this year could be Lily's pick.

Happy b-day Hannah & Nora!!
