Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

SICK SICK SICK

So today was one of THOSE days. Oh, poor kids...I felt so bad for them because there was just nothing I could do to help. They all just wanted me and that is hard when there is only one of me. I babysat for a short time this morning and then this was the rest of the day....Couches, crying...coughing...high fevers. Nora held her sippie cup of water against her stomach and when I took it from her the water was hot....her temp was over 104 and Hannah was there as well. I also had so start breathing treatments---Hannah started retracting and her RR was very high. They are all sleeping at the moment...hope it can stay that way for a while. I have cancelled all my plans for the week to be home with them so I am hoping we can beat this and it doesn't turn into something bigger like the years before....NO HOSPITAL STAYS---PLEASE!!!

aOH NO!! I feel so bad for you because I have been there so many times with Lily. I know i haven't gotten into much of her story yet, but she actually had a trach for 18 months due to soft cartilage in her airway. We usually end up having a few hospital stays each winter, but so far so good this year, thank goodness! Anyway, can you find out about getting the girls on some oral steroids? That helps Lily so much, if I can start them right away. Hope their fevers come down, and they're feeling better soon, and I hope the nebs help too. I know it isn't any fun. Please email me anytime if you want to talk.

I feel your pain!

Just getting over the 104's over here ourselves; I will pray that the poor girls heal as quickly as possible. Hang in there, Mom.

We should try to get together for a "playdate" at some point this winter... maybe during the boys' "winter break" from preschool...?

Hey Robin, yes we have done the steroids--she is usually on Pulmicort. We were told that she will probably have a bit of Pneumonia on her lungs for the rest of her life, but last year she seemed a lot better, so I have hope that all of this is just with age and that she is getting stronger. Thanks for the offer to talk, how is FIAR going?
Hey Jen, I forgot you recently posted about sickness too. How long did it last? Would love to see you for a playdate...keep in touch.
