We love to be home. I hear cheers of,
"Yiipppdddeeedoooo.", when the girls hear we will be home all day.
Home means...exploring streams, that we call dangerous raging rivers,

finding our first worm of spring and making sure he has a safe home,

snow hikes in warm
ER weather,

learning,

picking dead things from winter and proudly giving them to mom to display as decorations on the kitchen counter,

creating,

searching for the perfect patch of mud to stomp in,

imagining

What does home mean to you?

Home is where I know I'm safe, where the most discouraging day melts away in the giggles of my four beauties, where I can be simultaneously be myself, and the smartest, strongest, coolest man ever to live, at least in their eyes, where perspective gets reset back to what really matters, and what really doesn't. It has nothing to do with where I sleep, and everything to do with who I sleep with. Home would be a cardboard box if my ladies were there with me...
Thank you, bec, for being far more than I could ever dreamed in both a wife and a mother for my kids. You are still my hero.
Kevin, I couldn't agree with you more on the Amazing wife and mother...Beca, you really are a special and out of the ordinary mom...if only I could have more of that in me. OK, but I HATE THE WORM picture....sick!
Home is comfort and safety. Home is uncomplicated. It's my favorite place to be with my favorite people and where friends are always welcome.
Ha! I love that last shot.
Home has been a big question for me this past year or so. I'll keep it short and just say that I think I've finally found it. ;)
p.s. Thanks for your comments on my Shutter Sisters post today. It's nice to know I'm not alone!
Found you through ShutterSisters. It is so evident through these photos what a loving mother you are, and blessed with some beautiful daughters. Every woman should be so lucky to have a "kevin" in her life- his comments above made me shed a tear! God bless your family.
