Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

I wonder what category this fits under?

Potty training continues....

Nora and Hannah are riding my mop...they think it is a horse and were having a blast.
So, we have been struggling in the potty training department...busy schedule and all has confused things. This week I am intentionally staying home as much as possible to take care of this once and for all. Below Hannah is sitting on the potty and Nora is reading to her. It is so cute because Nora will encourage Hannah to 'go' and Hannah will sit there and encourage Nora to 'go' and then they get so excited for the other one when they finish.

Goodbye House

So, I am FINALLY caught up because this post is only from 2 days ago. We all went over to my mom's house to have a 'goodbye house party'. We ate, talked and then the boys attempted to fill my mom's POD with her furniture. Below are some picutres for you--Jerry, Jonny, Shell, and Bree so you can see everyone. Below is my mom.
Above is my mom outside trying to set up lights to continue working in the dark.
Here are the grandkids...enjoying b-day cake from Uncle Ben's b-day.
Below is Nora REALLY enjoying her cake.
Below is my brother Danny wearing his Coon hat from his childhood. He is standing on the fridge helping Kevin, who is up in the window, take down my mothers things off her wall.
He is one filthy guy...but his excuse was that he came right from work.
Here is my brother Chris arguing with Ben...yeah, they did that most of the night. They argued about how they always argued when they were kids. You know how it is Jerry/Jonny--most of our get-togethers are listening to them argue.
Below is Dan and Kevin doing more work.

Daddy's princess

Emma asked if Kevin could be her prince and dance with her....of course he was honored and I captured the moment.

Friends

We spent a good amount of last week with my friend Robin. Her car was in the shop and she was stuck at home so we kept her company but of course we had a blast doing it. Robin and I have been doing 5 day workouts--we have just finished week two and we feel great. I am doing 3 days running on my treadmill (right now I am up to 3 miles) and then the other two days I do weights. When I exercise consistently I have SO much more energy! I also easily keep my water intake over 100 ounces a day, which was always a struggle. Week 3 starts tomorrow and I am looking forward to it! So, here are some pictures of Hannah playing with JJ.

Playing in the snow

Emma is sliding down the hill on her bum and knocking Hannah down in the process but they thought it was great and did it over and over again.
Why buy a sled?

Goofy Nora...she really has quite the personality

Spring SNOW

So, yes...these pictures are from last week but I am catching up, just slowly. We had a good melt during those warm days and then a nice big snow. I think we got about 10 inches in our area and below are some pictures showing the progression of the snow. Warm days are here though, well 40's, if you consider that warm. I love winter, but I look forward to Spring.

"mommy, see my finger paint."

Sweet, Sweet, Nora...I let Emma try stamping while I made dinner and Nora thought it was finger paint and yes--got it all over everything. They have been doing better--I have found that if I constantly keep them busy--move them from project to project, chore to chore and keep them with me--they don't get into trouble. Making dinner is still my tough time though.

I am still behind with my blogging--about a week anyway so not too bad, but things have just been crazy around here but I just don't have the time to type it all out.

"Mommy, take more pictures of ME."

So, that is their new thing...they want me to take their pictures and they like to do all different faces for the pictures as well and that--my friends--is why you buy a digital camera.

Cheese....

They ask me to take their pictures now...Hannah is above and she is wearing my shoes so she wanted me to take her picture and put it on the computer so that is what I am doing. Then below is Nora, she saw me taking Hannah's picture and wanted me to take her picture as well. So, there you go....

How I remember New England...

Yes, this is what I remember about growing up in New England....MUDDY MOUNTAINS OF SNOW. I remember it taking till at least the middle of April for the snow to finally melt and I would wait with eager expectation to see what treasures I would find underneath from last fall, because it seemed, as a child of course, that from Dec 1st, or maybe earlier, till April there was always snow on the ground, so whatever you may have accidentally left hanging around in your backyard when the first snowfall came--you wouldn't be able to find till April. Now, as an adult and parent, all I see is a big pile of nasty snow, but back then it was a mountain of mystery.

Big girls...warm days

Above: Hannah and Nora are brushing their teeth.
Above: These pictures are from last week when we had those few warm days. Ahhh, it was so nice to get outside and 'play' in the MUD of course, but that is what Spring is all about, right? Well, the girls just searched for whatever mud puddles they could find and if they couldn't find one, they would make one. We did end up back in the woods--where we found an endless supply, for Pepito as well.

Is that meant to be there...?

So as you have seen in the past, sometimes I find strange things stuck in the girls hair. For those who have not seen---see below, this was last year sometime but Hannah came up to me crying saying that she couldn't find her pop, but then when she turned around I recognized the problem and took her into the bathroom to help her out...of course I could not hold my laughter when I found that she didn't only lose her pop but also a necklace. So above was just a reminder of some of the strange things I find in their hair--the thing in the above picture is a bracelet, but again, is that meant to be there?

Ready... one, two, three....STRETCH!!!!

Kevin stretching with the girls. Kevin's back has really been bothering him so he is starting his Yoga routine again with the hope to start feeling better. Well, the girls can't help but join in the fun. (As you can see, I need to clean my lens on my camera, or something)

Up DOG (Emma taking things seriously)
Down DOG--literally, "Get DOWN DOG!" (for those who don't know..."up dog" and "down dog" are different positions in yoga)

Mmmm, chocolate ice cream, our favorite.

Yes Dad...you have 4 'women' to please with chocolate ice cream. Every once in a while we NEED some chocolate ice cream.
