Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

How many people are there in the world?

Emma: "Nora, there are one million people in the world."

Nora: "No there isn't Emma!"

Emma: "Mommy there are one million people in the world, right?"

Me: "There are more than one million."

Nora: "MORE THAN A MILLION!!! Mommy, is that 5?!"

Just One More Thing

Say NO to laundry and YES to a walk.Cuddle up and read just a bit longer...Shut the phone off, sit on the floor, and play.

enter into their world and laughplayimagineand remember what LOVE is in their eyes" There's always,
'just one more thing'

There's always another task
There's always,
'I just have one more small favor to ask'
And everything is urgent and everything is nowI wonder what would really happen if I stopped somehow
'I'll be there in a minute'
'Just a few places to go'You wake up a few years later and your kids are grown And everything is important But everything is not At the end of your life your relationships are all you're gotAnd love to me (your children) is when you put down that one more thing and say 'I've got something better to do' And love to me is when you walk out on that one more thing and say 'Nothing will come between me and you Not even one more thing'There will never be an end to The request upon your time It's your place to stand up and tell the world You've got to rest awhileAnd everything is important But everything is not At the end of your life your relationships are all you've gotAnd love to me is when you put down that one more thing and say 'I've got something better to do' And love to me is when you walk out on that one more thing and say Nothing will come between me and you Not even one more thing"

I do have to say, the two that struck me as the weirdest, so you can check them out as well, would have to be: (click on name to view)

#1. Mark Boisvert (Jen's husband)

#2 My darling husband

*Although, I still have not heard from 2 members of my family: Jerry, Michelle? Can you beat it? (click here to see original post)

Oh, the unique style of dress in my house!

Nora: Everyday she wears layers of clothes...this is no exaggeration. She actually wears up to 4 dresses on top of each other and underneath the many layers of dresses she wears a shirt and pair of pants. Occasionally on top of the 4 dresses she wears a sweater. She likes to be 'puffy'. I think she looks at herself as wearing a fancy ballroom dress and that is why she likes it. When she wakes up in the morning she comes into my bedroom and tells me how many dresses she is wearing that day and then she asks me if she looks beautiful. (the above pic she is wearing 3 dresses and one layer of a shirt and pants. )
Hannah(above): Also likes to wear dresses on top of her clothes but she only likes one dress at a time. She usually comes to breakfast wearing some sort of hat to go with her outfit though.
Emma (above): I just never know with Emma it changes every day.

Not sure what the average is....

but this is what I type. (thanks Gina for the fun idea) Why not check it out and see if you are faster....

Drama queen

Yes, she can be my little drama queen. I have recently signed Emma up for a drama class. She started last week and LOVES it. Although, when I asked her to show me some of the stuff they taught her (parents are not in the room during the class) she said that she was too shy to show ME. Hmmmm, I guess I will just have to wait till parents night. If you want to find out more about Drama kids check out this link. (picture is Emma and was taken while we were playing dress up)

This is exactly how I feel right now!

My new thing has been working out at night. I have much more energy at night that I do ANY morning or afternoon. I usually don't start working out till 10 and I am finished by about 11-11:15 and I hop in the shower and then get in bed to read, BUT then I just can't get to sleep. So, I am waking up SOOO tired, more than usual that is. Some day I will have my schedule 'working' and I will be eating 3 (healthy) meals a day, drinking a healthy amount of water, and exercising consistently again. Some day I will find that balance, but at this moment I don't think I have it. YAAAWWWNNNN!!!! I may need to somehow take a morning nap, like that is even possible right? (pictures are of Hannah when we were playing dress up)

Are YOU as weird as I am?!

Here are 7 weird things about myself ( I am sure my husband could have thought of better things), and at the bottom a challenge for my fellow bloggers. (picture above is of my mom holding me as a baby)

1. I hate to eat breakfast but if I happen to be hungry in the morning my favorite thing to eat would be leftovers, which may very well be, mashed potatoes and meatloaf.

2. Sleep is a waste of time and I occasionally watch a movie on mute, while listening to my IPOD, and read a book at the same time, in order to feel that I am being effective and accomplishing as much as I can with the time that I have. (yeah, I have small kids, I don't get much free time)
(some siblings and I...many years ago)

3. I can't sit with my feet on the floor. I am constantly curled up like a child. My husband calls me a 'self hugger'. I like my sleeves long so that I can hold onto them so my hands feel 'cuddled'. I slept with a stuffed animal puppy dog till I was forced to pack him away, by my husband, (I occasionally visit him--he is hidden in our basement...shhhhh) but now I have a blanket I call 'my fuzzy' that I sleep with in one arm, but pushed up under my neck, while I have Kevin's arm in my other arm.

4. When I buy a new book it needs to 'sleep' next to me on my nightstand until I can read it. I love the feel of a new book as well as the smell, and I have a hard time keeping my hands off of others new books. My brother, Jerry, occasionally reminds me that, as a child of course, I would express to him, in a very excited tone, how when I get my first car I am going to have a bookshelf in the car with my own tissue box....I still wish my books could travel with me.

5. I buy cookbooks for pictures, colors, and stories....I MAY choose to use the recipes later. I am very moody with my food...if I have plenty of energy I want bright colors. When I am tired, lazy, I want darker colors and comfort foods. I go through extreme cravings where I would hate a certain food my entire life but deep inside ache to want to enjoy it, like watermelon...I tried every year to want to love it and one year it worked and I couldn't get enough. I would sit with an entire half a watermelon and eat it with a spoon. I drive my husband crazy because I don't think he deserves it if he doesn't ache for it like I do...I am trying to do better with sharing my cravings though.

6. I can't help but wiggle my toes, fingers, head, or some other part of my body, when there is some sort of music or beat.

7. When I don't feel well I express in my own 'made up language'...Aaaaadobadeeduucccdeeee....Looosala...pootabolla.

Yes, I am very strange, but I am sure you all are as well. So now is your chance to CONFESS. I am tagging you my fellow bloggers to share 7 of your weird qualities. That means YOU--Jen, Gina, Robin, Deb, Dani, Tara, Jenna, Kevin, Jerry, Michelle, Meg, and if I left anyone out--YOU TOO! Don't be scared.

My darling husband

I have been meaning to post about the girls and how they sometimes pray but my darling husband did it for me. So click here for that post on his blog. The girls and I fooled around the other day with dress up clothes and the camera. Hannah and Nora had a blast. Emma just wanted to sing and didn't get that the pictures didn't capture her songs. (more of the pics to come)

Shhh...I think it is GONE!

I am a bit afraid to say it but I think the stomach bug has officially left the building. I know, I know...this may be the third time I have said this (if you check back over my posts from the beginning of Jan), but Kevin hardly ever gets sick and now he is the only one left. Life seems to be back to normal, starting this morning.
The girls are giving Nora a manicure. They also gave Daddy a manicure and, I just have to say, he doesn't look too bad in pink.
Above...Nora is truly enjoying this treatment. Below, Pepito...he sits very proper, a little too proper to look normal.
