Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

DAY 7,8, and 9--Animals

These are just animal shots. We stopped at two different 'farms'--friends of Kevin's dad--and the girls were able to see their animals. These are baby goats....soooo cute. The girls loved them. That same farm also had some horses and Golden Retriever puppies---the puppies were gorgeous, SO....we bought one. The price was awesome---$150 for a pure pup, when up here there would be no way we could get one under $500. At first we thought we were getting a girl (we didn't pick it up till we left) so the girls wanted to name her Genevieve (after the dog on Madeline) but we found out it was a boy so the girls right away wanted to name him Pepito (after the boy on Madeline--they are just stuck on that book) So, his name is Pepito--you will see pictures later.

Pictures below are from a different place...this farm had a donkey and a dog--the girls had more fun with the dog.

Day 7

Visiting with Grandma Nora! The girls were a bit confused. Just being with their Nanna, who is blind and then coming to see Grandma Nora who can't hear..."do I need to go closer and stick my hands out or talk loud??"

Day 6

So, we left TN and headed over to NC. Pictures below of the girls and I were taken when we were crossing over the border of TN into NC, it was a beautiful drive. Pictures above and below are at the Hampton in NC--the girls getting settled into the hotel.

Day 4 in TN

My very good friend Stephanie and her 5 girls---yeah, 5 GIRLS...she looks too young to have 5 girls, right?! Well, anyway, they came to visit us at the cabin as well and spent the night with us. It was very nice seeing them all again and my girls just LOVED being with her girls.

Vacation--winter 2007/ Day 1/2

Thank you all for your prayers! After the first day of our trip Hannah recovered and felt much better--we also didn't get hit by that big snow storm they were forcasting on the ONE full day that we were driving. They actually said on the news, at our first stop in VA,---Winter Strom Warning--CANCELLED. They were expecting up to 8 inches in the mountains where our cabin was and we feared, from reviews of the place, that we wouldn't be able to make it up the mountain. We went prepared though and had bought chains for the tires and plenty of winter clothes if we had to hike up. Thankfully it was just a beautiful drive. We drove the first day into VA and spent the night at the Hampton and then were on our way to TN getting there around 4.
