Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

Big girls...warm days

Above: Hannah and Nora are brushing their teeth.
Above: These pictures are from last week when we had those few warm days. Ahhh, it was so nice to get outside and 'play' in the MUD of course, but that is what Spring is all about, right? Well, the girls just searched for whatever mud puddles they could find and if they couldn't find one, they would make one. We did end up back in the woods--where we found an endless supply, for Pepito as well.

Is that meant to be there...?

So as you have seen in the past, sometimes I find strange things stuck in the girls hair. For those who have not seen---see below, this was last year sometime but Hannah came up to me crying saying that she couldn't find her pop, but then when she turned around I recognized the problem and took her into the bathroom to help her out...of course I could not hold my laughter when I found that she didn't only lose her pop but also a necklace. So above was just a reminder of some of the strange things I find in their hair--the thing in the above picture is a bracelet, but again, is that meant to be there?

Ready... one, two, three....STRETCH!!!!

Kevin stretching with the girls. Kevin's back has really been bothering him so he is starting his Yoga routine again with the hope to start feeling better. Well, the girls can't help but join in the fun. (As you can see, I need to clean my lens on my camera, or something)

Up DOG (Emma taking things seriously)
Down DOG--literally, "Get DOWN DOG!" (for those who don't know..."up dog" and "down dog" are different positions in yoga)

Mmmm, chocolate ice cream, our favorite.

Yes Dad...you have 4 'women' to please with chocolate ice cream. Every once in a while we NEED some chocolate ice cream.

Shhhh....don't tell DAD!

Yes, don't tell dad is right....I know my brother, Chris , would not appreciate seeing his son, Indiana, dressed like a girl and playing with the girls, but it was his choice and he had fun doing it too!

Do your kids do this....??

So, when I come home from food shopping my girls are SO excited! They run over to the bags and, as you can see, literally pick up the food items and HUG them, almost as if I have been starving them. Really, above Hannah is hugging syrup for dear life and Nora is hugging a tub of whipped cream like it was her long lost pet. Then Emma seems to be stroking that pack of turkey dogs. They do this weekly so I finally caught it on camera because I really want to know---DO YOUR KIDS DO THIS????

Visiting a princess...Emma's photo shoot

Here is my friend Correne's baby princess, she is gorgeous and I just fell in LOVE with her. The girls enjoyed her as well. Hannah and Nora were a bit afraid but Emma loved her. Then I let Emma try taking her own pictures and she had a blast with that, as you will see below. I thought it would be cute to add them on here. Emma is always asking me if I can take a picture of her and put it on the computer so now she can see her own pictures on the computer.
So the one above is of Hannah's shoes and the one below of Nora
The one below is of Nora's dog

She is just gorgeous, isn't she?! Great job Correne and Pete!!!

Brrrr......

Well, I have to say today was absolutely beautiful but for as long as I can remember now, well a month or so, these were the kind of temps I was waking up to---EVERY MORNING....see above, negative 3.4 degrees ---CRAZY, huh? Seeing 0 degrees on there was a very normal thing too. Wow, 30 degrees feels like Spring and we were out without coats today enjoying the 40's and it felt great! (coming from someone who loves cold weather)

Puppy Love

Whenever Kevin attempts to relax (yes, he is strange, he does enjoy just laying flat on the cold floor) Pepito seems to find him and climbs right on.

More playroom disasters

ROAR! So, when I make dinner I send the girls downstairs to play, usually they do really well playing house or dress-up but this particular time they threw all the toys, that are seen in the above picture, into that hole in the wall. (So the basement is still unfinished but I am not complaining because at least I have somewhere to put all the toys and a place for them to play) They always seem to find the one thing or the one area to play with that they are not allowed to play with, just their nature, right? Well, anyway I had them dig out all those toys, which took forever a week actually and then this morning we finally cleaned it all up and boarded up that hole in the wall.

FLOORS

Here is what we did all week....with some before and after pictures. Still need to get the rest of the baseboard up and then put everything back in it's place.

Below...I just had to point out Kevin's bald spot..he he he :)

Crazy days

So things just haven't stopped for weeks now. Sorry I haven't been updating, but I just can't seem to find the time lately. The house is crazy because of doing the floors and all the painting so I am currently sitting on the floor to type out this post, so I will not be typing much. The pictures posted here are from my good friend Robin's house. It is her son's 1st b-day and we spent most of the day over there. The girls were a mess and very emotional the entire time, which made for a tough day but that's life, right?! My friend Correne just had her first baby and she is gorgeous so I will be posting about that soon too, lots to come, hopefully I will find some time tonight when everyone is asleep.

Snow

So, we got some more snow today. It was only about 4 more inches and then it started to sleet and now everything is a nasty mess. Pepito is lovin' playing out in the snow but it makes for some annoying whining (I know...another one that whines, what was I thinking) and a nasty wet dog smell, which I HATE. Today we just hung out inside---made some yummy raspberry muffins and played with play-doh. This week for FIAR we did, Katy and the Big Snow, it was a fun book, the girls had fun with it and they really understood about being responsible and completing a job. Whenever Emma starts to complain that she is tired and can't finish what she is doing, I start saying, "Chug Chug Chug Chug" (which was the sound Katy made in the book) and she smiles and finishes the job. So, good book to get that point across if anyone is interested.

A place for everything...everything in it's place

So this is what I saw when walking into the living room to check on the girls today...cute huh? They were playing house and were 'going to bed' at this point. We are getting ready to do hardwood floors in our living room and dining room so the house is torn apart right now. I am also painting everything again--getting rid of the many crayon marks and cleaning up the trim paint a bit. Hopefully this weekend some of that work will be finished--I will get some before/after pictures when we are done.

Did I say....once a month?

Well, I guess I was wrong...right now we are looking at once a day. I need to get creative.
