Grace like Rain

Can you feel it?!

It is pouring down all over you! Look up, close your eyes, taste it on your lips, and then take a drink from the only source that can satisfy your deepest longings.

God's grace is like rain pouring down all over me and my stains are COMPLETELY and TOTALLY washed away.

Earth Day

The girls and I cleaned up a bit around our place and then headed to our path in the woods, and cleaned up a bit around the water where we play. We live across the street from the high school so the kids walk through our area a few times a day leaving trash everywhere. So, this has been more like 'earth week' for us...
Hannah caught her first frog of the season. When we let him go she told me that we HAD to come back and visit him very soon.
Happy cleaning to you all!

Warming up in the sun

The girls and I have been spending a lot of time on blankets...playing, reading, eating. This particular day they were playing and I was reading and when I looked up there he was sitting right next to me, maybe 2 inches away. OH MY GOSH, yes I am afraid of snakes, you should have seen me jump. He didn't just slide by either, he was on my blanket for 45 min or more. Then he suddenly started licking the air and took off after this large frog (which Hannah saw early on and we had been looking for him). Well, he found him and ate him right in front of us and we had to listen to that poor frog squeal the whole way down. I have pictures but I really don't think you want to see those. Sorry for not blogging much lately. I will get back into it, just have a lot going on right now.

Update

Thank you all for your prayers and concern. My appointment went fairly well. Apparently the spaces between my ribs were so small (the tech said that I was the hardest she has ever had), that it was a difficult examination because of a poor cardiac window. The tech did not think that her pictures were adequate enough BUT the doc, that was in there, seeing me being so young, and in shape, thought it should pass over just fine with what they got. (The biggest reason I was there was because of a profound family history, and my dad dying at 39 with the docs never seeing his extreme blockage--even after going into the ER multiple times with chest pressure)

Well, I am just horrible with speaking up for myself, so I said OK and left. I was really hoping this appointment would allow me to leave feeling --if there is anything, they will find it--and then I can move on and feel 'good' about it, BUT, instead I left feeling as if it was a waste of money--and they stereotyped my age and 'athletic appearance'.

My doc will have the reports in 3 days. My EKG looked good though, but so did my dad's with 90% blockage on the left side of his heart--So, that really didn't make me feel the greatest.

Thanks again, I will update if and when I know more.

Spring cleaning help?

So, here are some ideas if you need help with spring cleaning: #1. FLOOD your basement (which is also your playroom)
#2. Get extremely busy so you don't have any time to clean up the details (trunks full of things you didn't realize got wet) that way many of it sits for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
#3. Finally go down and check out all the wonderful mold and mildew that has built up over that time period
#4. Get advice on how to clean up the damage--baby dolls, dress-up clothes, baby doll clothes, toys, blankets, stuffed animals, etc...buy all the ingredients.
#5. Start the cleaning process...the long cleaning process, during whatever free time there is.
#6. Realize that it is not worth the time or effort to go through that cleaning process
#7. Get some large trash bags
#8. RESULT: Springy clean!

Need any extra examples or pointers for this particular thing...just let me know, I have plenty.

Sending mixed messages...

Nora: Mom, you said that it was OK if I spit at kids, just not adults, right?

I SWEAR....

I can SMELL IT!!!
Things are changing--ALMOST starting to grow!
It is just so gradual, so subtle...you don't even notice it happening

BUT IT IS!!! Don't get discouraged! Spring will just happen upon 'you', without 'you' even noticing.

Indoor project?

yes, I know, what was I thinking?!(well, it was a cold day...and...well...OKAY!!--I wasn't thinking)
